She has a penchant for metaphor----Danah likens people to plants, both need specific things and environments in order to flourish. What will help one plant thrive, could be the demise of another.

“Her Presentation
alone, was worth the entire price of admission----she was incredible….” W.M.
Danah has lived on Lopez Island in the northwest corner of Washington State for over 45 years, and loves the life she has created. It is a diverse mixture of ingredients, making for a rich and savory recipe. She finds avenues of expression for her compulsive energy in the delight of growing food, the peace of tending her gardens, the joy and challenge of community involvement, and an assortment of her other creative endeavors. She rides her bicycle just about every day. Danah is also a private pilot, and flies a small airplane to work in her San Juan Island office and to the mainland to do errands. She is known as the Tomato Queen-----because each growing season, Danah grows anywhere from 800 to 1200 tomato plants and other vegetable starts. She grows over 25 varieties of tomatoes alone, many of which are from her own seed. She has a loyal following, and people come to buy her plants every year. This too, is about her love to inspire others to grow things that they never thought possible.
